Inspiring Young Minds with Whistlefritz

Whistlefritz was founded in 2006 by a mom with a passion for teaching language to children during the period when their cognitive skills are most receptive to it – in early childhood. With the knowledge that this language “window of opportunity” begins as early as the toddler years, Whistlefritz’s founder, Heidi Stock, developed a Spanish language program for her own children. However, her passion didn’t stop there. It flourished into Whistlefritz, a young company on a mission to create entertaining Spanish language DVDs for other parents and teachers who want to take advantage of this window of opportunity for children.

Headquartered just outside of Washington, D.C. in Glen Echo, Maryland, Whistlefritz is growing strong, fueled by the vision to create more high-quality products to add to its growing “Spanish for Beginners” DVD Series for Children. Whistlefritz operates with the help of professional artists, entertainers, early childhood professionals and language specialists who have contributed their talents and expertise to Whistlefritz.

TriVision Studios has played a vital role in the production of the Whistlefritz DVD programs.  Taking advantage of TriVision’s all-in-one production facility for the filming of the projects, Whistlefritz has been able to utilize TriVision for the production as well as the post-production of its videos. Using chroma-key and professional HD cameras, in studio as well as on location, the team at TriVision has helped Whistlefritz create  engaging DVDs using funny characters and lively music to make it an invaluable and fun teaching tool, which in turn is able to stimulate, educate and allow kids to quickly and easily make the language all their own.

Early feedback indicates wide appeal among children and adults alike. Whistlefritz plans to create more Spanish immersion DVDs and products to meet the increasing demand of parents and educators for high-quality Spanish educational programs.

The Age of 3D Animation

Computer animation is the art of creating moving images with the use of computers, generally termed as 3D animation. The field of visual effects and computer animation has only become possible since the late twentieth century when the first completely 3D animation film, “Toy Story” was created. Since then, with the passage of time and the advancement of software and equipment, 3D animation has become commonplace in cinema and beyond.

The age of 3D animation has certainly brought about a revolution where there is hardly any area where 3D animation doesn’t play a pivotal role. For example, the construction industry as well as the defense industry has a very crucial need to graphically visualize the progress and end results of a business project. 3D graphics are extremely important to engineers, as much of the manufacturing processes in the world are now done from CAD (computer aided drafting) machines. Another big area where 3D Animation is bringing about a huge and fast transformation is architecture. The 3-dimensional models are more accurate and make it easier to see and study the possible relationship of the buildings with the environment.

There are several reasons why 3D animation has gained dominance and wide-spread demand. First, the true power of 3D really lies in its dimensional feature and its exceptional ability to portray movement. Concepts and ideas which are difficult to express in words or illustrations can not only be created easily in 3D but also analyzed from different perspectives. A huge amount of scientific data of movements is combined and presented in a simplistic manner, which in turn creates a long-lasting impact on the memory allowing the viewer to retain the image for a much longer time and with better accuracy.

In essence, 3D animation is a communicating tool which offers more information at a faster rate, presents complex concepts in a simplified manner, and has the capability to turn any idea or a hint into reality. One such example includes the recreation of an event, such as an air crash or the demolition of a building.

TriVision Studios recognizes the importance of 3D animation and has applied the technology in various forms and projects. To see an example of a 3D application in video production produced by TriVision, please click on the thumbnail to the right.
