Did You Know?

The Best Design is in its Simplicity...it's Complicated.

Good design means keeping it as simple as possible. An effective design, despite its apparent simplicity, is not achieved randomly or by chance. One of the great principles of graphic design is simplicity, and while it seems effortless to achieve, it is far more complicated than one may think.

Simplicity in art, also known as visual economy or minimal design, is omitting all non-essential or un-important elements and details, which don't truly contribute to the essence of the overall composition in order to emphasize what is important.

The notion of simplicity in design is derived from Minimalism, an art movement which is identified with developments in post World War II Western Art and as a reaction against the complicated Abstract Expressionism of the mid-twentieth century. In simple design tactic, the most necessary components are arranged to create a sense of extreme simplicity. The artwork is reduced to showcase only its necessary elements not only to serve a visual purpose but also to be functional. For example, a basic element such as a line can serve two purposes. First, its purpose is to separate the subject field into different planes. Secondly, it serves as a minimal boundary or border to place the next most necessary component in the work of art, hence creating a balance between the positive and negative space.

In essence, the human eye is a menace to clear sight. The more components there are in a design, the busier the artwork looks. In other words, more is less and less is more. Placing less on a canvas means the eye gravitates only towards that object, thus creating an effective and more meaningful design.

YouTube, an Essential Tool for Online Marketing

The giant video sharing web site, YouTube, is becoming a massively popular tool for online marketing. Companies, large and small, are using YouTube as a viable tool to promote and advertise their products, services and events. For those not familiar with YouTube, it is a free social media web site where one can upload video clips online and also view millions of other videos. It is estimated that 100 million videos are being watched on YouTube every day, including professional movie and TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content. It is no surprise then that Google, the Internet’s biggest search engine, has purchased YouTube for $1.65 billion dollars, which by far was the most expensive purchase in its history.

Given its massive attractiveness, innovative marketers look at YouTube as a perfect opportunity to showcase their offerings to the public, at little or no cost. It’s not very difficult to increase the popularity of a video on YouTube. The more people view a video, the higher its ranking grows, and the higher the video’s ranking grows, the closer it gets to the top page (or home page). In addition, YouTube offers special methods to promote your video by allowing your video to appear alongside natural search results when people search for similar content. Although not free, using such methods can be very effective in helping your video gain higher visibility and a more targeted audience.

Without a doubt, YouTube has played a huge role in how videos are being displayed, shared and promoted online. Online marketers not only use YouTube and other video distribution channels to promote the newest trends, but also their latest products lines, services, events or even a simple link to their web site. This helps generate more traffic to their web site, which in turn, can help boost sales and revenue.

Using video marketing to promote products and services online is a growing trend that is essential for every business and organization. Nowadays, more and more people are going to YouTube instead of Google when they want to be informed, entertained or to simply pass time. This creates an ideal opportunity for marketers to promote their message to a broad and/or targeted audience anywhere in the world.

With its 12,000 square feet of studio space, combined with its video production and marketing capabilities, TriVision Studios has created an environment for its clients to get all their online marketing and dissemination needs under one roof.
