Islamic Relief Charity Campaign in Afghanistan

Islamic Relief is a worldwide charitable organization that provides aid to alleviate poverty. Its goals are to decrease suffering, hunger, illiteracy, and diseases worldwide without regard to color, race or creed. It also aims to provide rapid relief in the event of man-made or natural disasters. In addition, it establishes development projects in needy areas to help tackle poverty, illiteracy and disease at a local level.

Islamic Relief established operations in Afghanistan to respond to the desperate situation in that country, helping to carry the burden of rebuilding the shattered land. Afghanistan has suffered three decades of war and political strife. More than half of Afghanistan’s 31 million people live below the poverty line. Illiteracy, lack of access to safe water, drug addiction, and a high child mortality rate are just a few of the epidemics many Afghans face in their daily lives. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan since 1992 to help combat these issues. Some of their projects include Development Centers to educate the many widows and orphans, schools for those with no place to learn, wells and irrigation lines to help the local farmers, emergency relief, and health centers to help the sick and addicted.

TriVision Studios was contacted by Islamic Relief to help them with their charity campaign in Afghanistan. They sought a company that could understand the needs, language and culture of Afghanistan and its people. TriVision was more than happy to produce a 10-minute multilingual marketing video that emotionally conveys the plight of the Afghan people and their current dire situation. This video was recently showcased during an important telethon on Afghan television. TriVision also produced a television commercial specifically targeting the month of Ramadan.

Farhad Darya

Renowned vocalist, composer, and peace activist, Farhad Darya, is claimed by many to be one of the most influential artists of the contemporary music age in Afghanistan. Since the mid-1980’s, the award-winning musician has become the revolutionary force behind a new and inventive form of Afghan music. Called by the western media as the “Voice of the Afghan Nation”, his music appeals to both young and old whereas he has created music in multiple genres; from semi-classical, old and modern “ghazal” to folklore, traditional, pop, and rock. Throughout his career, Darya has arranged and sang a remarkable array of songs in most major Afghan regional languages and dialects, having released a total of 32 albums and several hit singles.

For more than eight years, TriVision Studios has been Darya’s official marketing and promotion agency. From the design and post-production of his record selling album and DVD “Salaam Afghanistan” to the development and maintenance of his official website www.farhaddarya.info, and the sponsorship of his concerts in the United States, TriVision has kept a prominent position in Darya’s worldwide promotions.

Recently, TriVision also designed and promoted his latest project, Kochah or “Street”, in which Darya works with neglected working children of the “streets” in Afghanistan. Kochah’s first TV show earned Darya the Human Rights Award and also helped him open over 2000 bank accounts for unprivileged families in Afghanistan.

Sesame Street in Afghanistan

Sesame Street, the television program that has helped educate millions of children around the world, is now being shown in schools and different educational settings in Afghanistan. Prepared by the non-profit organizations, Sesame Workshop and RAND Corporation, the program consists of more than 400 multi-media educational outreach kits. Each kit contains ten 20-minute-long videotaped episodes from material developed in Egypt for Alam Simsim, an Egyptian adaptation of Sesame Street funded by USAID. The program, which has been dubbed in Dari, is called Koche Sesame for the version created for Afghanistan.

TriVision Studios designed and produced these kits which have been distributed across Afghanistan by government and non-government organizations, in an effort to help rebuild the Afghan educational system ravaged by years of war. Besides the videotapes, the kits contain a teacher handbook illustrating ways to use the media as an effective educational tool, a children’s alphabet poster with colorful illustrations, and school supplies. Furthermore, TriVision also translated the Dari and Pashto messages from Afghan President Hamid Karzai and former Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah, also featured in each kit.

According to RAND, the aim of the Koche Sesame episodes is to assist teachers in educating children, cultivate awareness of other cultures, emphasize opportunities for girls and women, and raise student interest in education and career opportunities.

The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit research organization that has worked with TriVision over the years on different projects, ranging from TriVision’s translation services to video production and studio rental. RAND’s mission is to provide objective analysis and effective solutions that address the challenges facing the public and private sectors around the world.

Student Tours Inspire Tomorrow’s Creative Minds

TriVision Studios has a long history of working with universities and trade schools in the region with the goal of encouraging and cultivating young talent interested in working in such fields as graphic design, web development, video production, and marketing.

Since its expansion into a 12,000 square feet state-of-the-art studio center in Chantilly, Virginia, TriVision Studios has emerged as a touring spot for schools around the area.

One of the schools in point is ITT Technical Institute, a leading private college system focused on technology-oriented programs of study. It operates over 100 ITT Technical Institutes in more than 30 states which predominantly provide career-focused, degree programs to approximately 54,000 students.  Each semester, ITT school has brought their students to TriVision to get a “behind-the-scenes” field tour of the studio. With approximately 40 students in each group, ITT students get a detailed "insider look" at what goes into producing projects, such as television commercials, music videos, web sites, and logo designs. There is also a question and answer session where students get an opportunity to gain insight on specific topics ranging from the technical know-how of equipment and software to tips on catching a potential employer’s interest. For many of these students, it will be the first and only time they’ll get to see a real-life work environment before they graduate.

In addition to providing tours of the Chantilly facility, TriVision also offers internships to students of area schools. These internships provide valuable real life experience that help prepare the visionaries of tomorrow with a peak of what to expect once they reach the full-time work force.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

What do you do when you need to find something on the Internet?

In most cases, you go to one of the major search engines and type in the term or key words that you’re looking for and then click through the results. But what if the first and second pages don’t give you the results you were looking for?

On the other end, what do you do to attract more visitors to your company’s web site? What if you have the most attractive web site and yet no one can find you?

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a marketing strategy that helps your web site be recognized and get on the first page of leading search engine sites, such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL. It is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” or “algorithmic” search results for targeted key words. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search engine results pages or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site.

In today’s fast-paced internet world in which a web site can be the face of a brand’s identity, having your web site be optimized for search engine compatibility is not only important, but a necessity. Without a good SEO, your website is lost amongst thousands of other web sites on the net.

We at TriVision can help you achieve that goal and increase your web site’s “rank” by using SEO as a cost-effective and accessible tool to increase not only its traffic, but target your audience and give your brand a high international profile.
