Case Study: Symantec

Symantec is a global leader in providing security, storage and systems management solutions to help customers – from consumers and small businesses to the largest global organizations – secure and manage their information against more risks at more points, more completely and efficiently than any other company. Symantec’s unique focus is to eliminate risks to information, technology and processes independent of the device, platform, interaction or location.

Symantec has six locations worldwide. TriVision was contracted to do the Interior Branding of these locations within the existing Symantec brand guidelines. Interior Branding is a tool to communicate the essence of the company’s brand identity through the design of the physical environment. This includes both the tangible, such as the interior design and visual aesthetic, to the intangible, such as the ambiance and mood. Symantec wanted to capture this essence worldwide.  TriVision has started with the Washington DC office (located in Herndon, Virginia) and expanding that motif and theme to the remaining five offices in Mountain View, Reading, Chennai, Tokyo and Sydney.

TriVision creative team suggested a well-designed brand environment not only to express the company’s DNA that leaves a lasting impression with prospects and clients but to also offer Symantec’s employees a sense of recruitment, retention, productivity and improve morale. With the help of Symantec’s operations engineers, TriVision’s experts developed a theme and a story show casing the processes used in Symantec’s daily operations. The design layouts was shown as 2D proofs electronically first and once finalized, TriVision then manufactured and installed the environmental graphics to maximize each space’s potential.

The interior branding campaign has proved to be successful and very well received by the Symantec executives.  TriVision is on to phase two of the project where the remaining areas of the main head quarter office is going through a similar interior change, as a result, using that as a model for the remaining office worldwide starting with the UK office.
